Which funding route fits?

If you have an assessed care grade (Pflegegrad), support may be free to you. Eligibility, the agreed services and your available budget determine coverage.

Relief benefit · § 45b SGB XI

For care at home, the relief allowance (Entlastungsbetrag) can fund recognised everyday support, including household help. It is available for care grades 1 to 5. Eligible costs are reimbursed against evidence within the available budget.

Respite care · § 39 SGB XI

This route applies to care grades 2 to 5 when a private caregiver is temporarily unavailable and replacement care is needed. Ask your care insurer whether and to what extent our service can be covered in your case before booking.

Our services are recognised under NRW state law. Services your care insurer does not cover may involve costs for you. Please clarify the billing process in advance as well.

Is cleaning free if I have a care grade?

The agreed services may be free to you where your care insurer covers them and sufficient budget remains. A care grade alone does not guarantee unlimited free cleaning. Confirm coverage with your insurer before booking.

Can the relief allowance cover cleaning?

For care at home, the relief allowance under § 45b SGB XI can cover recognised household support. Jawad offers services recognised under NRW state law. Ask your care insurer which services and evidence apply to your case.

Is respite care the same as the relief allowance?

No. Respite care under § 39 SGB XI has separate conditions: care grade 2 to 5 and a private caregiver who is temporarily unavailable. Your insurer clarifies whether the requested support qualifies as replacement care.
